7 Arrests At Downtown Elmhurst Parking Deck
Police charged seven people in separate incidents over the weekend, according to reports.

ELMHURST, IL – Over the weekend, Elmhurst police arrested seven people at the downtown parking deck at 149 N. Addison Ave.
The deck has become a site of regular criminal activity, including graffiti, damage to extinguisher boxes, illegal activation of fire alarms and broken windows on cars.
The city closed the deck's top level a few weeks ago.

In response, police are often patrolling the deck. Those efforts yielded results over the weekend.

- Felipe Madera, 30, of Lombard, was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Saturday at the parking deck on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of open alcohol. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. In the same incident, an 18-year-old woman of Melrose Park was cited on a charge of possession of open alcohol by a minor and Monica Cezario, 21, of Melrose Park, was cited on a charge of open alcohol. They were released on bond.
- Four 18-year-olds — one from Elmhurst and three from Glendale Heights — were cited shortly before midnight Sunday at the parking deck on charges of loitering. Three of them were also cited with charges of possession of marijuana under 21, while another was cited on a charge of possession of alcohol by a minor. They were released on bond. Police said they came into contact with the four because they were occupants of a "suspicious" vehicle.
