Bryan Math Team Takes Second At Contest​​

The Bryan Middle School team placed second in Division AA among the 12 teams participating in that category.

ELMHURST, IL — Last month, the Bryan Middle School Math Team participated in the 28th annual Junior High Math Contest at the Illinois Math & Science Academy. The district said 16 seventh and eighth grade students participated in the day-long competition, including Andrew Brooks, Jericho Calago, Maddie Fine, Ryder Maston, Ryan Spaeth, Magnus Mikhail, Charlie Scanlon, and Sam Wit, Luke Lestina, Nick Devine, Joe Drewno, Aidan Hall, Soren Moore, Milo Ward, Brian Hanley and Max Thoresen.

The Bryan team placed second in the creative math round. The team of Jericho Calago and Nick Devine placed third in the creative math round. The school said ultimately the Bryan Middle School team placed second in Division AA among the 12 teams participating in that category. Naperville District 203's Kennedy Junior High received first place.

Math teachers Heather Bolur and Tara Nunes serve as the Bryan Math Team coaches.
