District 205 Ranked Among Best School Districts in Illinois

ELMHURST, IL — The National Council for Home Safety and Security announced their 2018 ranking of the Best School Districts in America, and Elmhurst School District 205 ranked high both in Illinois and nationwide.

Out of 365 eligible school districts, District 205 came in at sixth overall in the state of Illinois. District 205 ranked #283 nationwide out of more than 9,500 eligible school districts, the district said in a release. The rankings are based on school funding, student performance, dropout rate and poverty rate.

“District 205 is committed to being a national leader in future ready learning,” Superintendent Dr. David Moyer said in a release. “It is affirming to be recognized. We are working hard to ensure a culture of innovation and build systems to support it. We will continue to strive to get better in everything we do in the service of our students.”
