District 205 Ranks Among Top 10 Districts in Illinois: Niche

Niche's 2019 Best School Districts listed District 205 as ninth among the districts surveyed,​ and it earned an overall rating of A+.​

ELMHURST, IL — District 205 ranked among the top 10 school districts in the state of Illinois, according to a study done by Niche. Niche's 2019 Best School Districts listed District 205 as ninth among the districts surveyed, and it earned an overall rating of A+.

According to the the district, the annual ranking is based on statistical analysis and reviews from parents and students. Analysis includes examining factors such as test scores, college readiness and graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores and teacher quality.

District 205 also ranked in the top 15 for Best Athletics and top 25 for Best Places to Teach in Illinois.

“Great schools are the foundation of strong, successful communities,” Superintendent Dr. David Moyer said in a release. “We are happy to once again be cited as one of the top 10 districts in the state by the Niche
organization. I love the direction that we are headed and honestly believe that we have just scratched the surface."

Community High School District No. 128 in Libertyville, New Trier Township High School District No. 203, Naperville Community Unit School District No. 203, Barrington Community Unit School District No. 220 and Indian Prairie Community Unit School District No. 204 closed out the top five spots in the state.
