Elmhurst Firefighters In Line For Raises
The City Council is set to vote on a union agreement next week.

ELMHURST, IL – The Elmhurst City Council plans to vote Monday on a new three-year contract for the firefighters union.
Under the agreement, firefighters are set to get 3.25 percent annual raises for three years. The first one is retroactive to Jan. 1, which is when the last contract ended.
This year's starting salary for a firefighter is $79,998 under the contract. That number would rise to $86,348 in January 2025.

A firefighter with 15 years of service under the contract is set to receive $109,732. That amount would rise to $118,441 in January 2025.
