Elmhurst Man Hits Another In Head With Pan: Cops

He was the same one who caused a disturbance in July at a local convenience store, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – An Elmhurst man accused of causing a disturbance at a convenience store in the summer was arrested Wednesday for an incident last month, police said

Darren J. Pasnik, 50, of the 400 block of South Berkley Avenue in Elmhurst, was charged with a count of aggravated battery and two counts of domestic battery. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

During an Oct. 22 argument, Pasnik struck another man in the head with a pan, police said. Pasnik refused to leave the house, but was eventually arrested without any problems, police said.

The incident took place about 3:30 p.m. at Pasnik's house, police said.

Patch previously reported the incident, but police did not release Pasnik's name.

At the time, police said in a news release that they sent a crisis negotiation team, who communicated with Pasnik.

In July, Pasnik was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and obstructing identification, police said.

He was accused of entering 7-Eleven, 525 S. Spring Road, and yelling, "Gun, gun, gun," and running out, police said.
