Body Found In Elmhurst Identified as Missing Man
The body of missing Elmhurst man, Justin Antony, was found in an Elmhurst quarry.
ELMHURST, IL - The body discovered in a Elmhurst quarry has been identified as missing 24-year-old Justin Antony. Antony was reported missing endangered on April 14, when he left for a church service in Bellwood and never showed up.
Police said Antony was last seen when he left his residence on a silver mountain bike around 5:30 p.m. April 14, and his family last heard from him at 8:33 p.m. via text.
A body was discovered in the Elmhurst-Chicago Stone quarry located at West Avenue and First Street, according to police. Elmhurst Police and fire personnel were searching the west side of the quarry for Antony, and discovered the body of a male in his early 20s, police said. The body was found on the bottom of the quarry at 12:40 p.m. April 21.

The DuPage County Coroners Office responded to the scene and transported the body to the Coroner’s office in Wheaton, police said.
Police believed that the body may be that of Antony and the family was contacted. Police said Antony was identified on April 23 through dental records.

The cause and manner of death are pending toxicology and autopsy results, according to police.
