Elmhurst Mayor Not Running Again: Report

Alderman announces plans to run for the top job, newspaper says.

ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst Mayor Steve Morley has decided against running for a third term, while Ward 7 Alderman Mark Mulliner has announced plans to run for the top job, according to the weekly Elmhurst Independent.

Morley won his first term in 2013 after serving six years as an alderman. In the 2013 election, he defeated Mulliner and Diane Gutenkauf with 43 percent of the vote. Morley ran unopposed in 2017.

The position of Elmhurst mayor is part time. Morley's LinkedIn page indicates he has been the principal at Every Door Direct Media since late 2013.
