ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst Mayor Scott Levin, whose term expires after next April's election, raised $29,325 for his campaign last quarter.

"I had a substantial campaign debt from 2021, due to the fact that fundraisers could not be held during the time of covid," Levin said in a text message to Patch on Monday. "So part of it is to reduce the prior debt."

In the 2021 race, Levin, an attorney, lent $40,000 of his own money to the campaign. He would not say whether he is seeking a second term.
