Elmhurst Varsity Cyber Club Advances To Semi-Finals

Students from Elmhurst Cyber Club recently won an award at competition in the tenth season of CyberPatriot.

ELMHURST, IL — Students from Elmhurst Cyber Club recently won an award at competition in the tenth season of CyberPatriot – the Air Force Association’s National Youth Cyber Defense Competition. According to the club, all four teams competed at the CyberPatriot X State Round held Jan. 19-21, demonstrating impressive teamwork, critical thinking skills, and technical knowledge key to a successful career in cybersecurity.

Led by Dr. Dean Jensen of Elmhurst College and a group of dedicated parent mentors, the varsity team’s performance earned it Illinois’ 1st Place Award and a spot in the Platinum Semifinal Round. The club said Varsity team members are Brandon Musgrave, Alex Swinford, Will Phillips, Justin Pajak, Nathan Moskal and Joseph Black.
