Elmhurst Woman Arrested In Domestic Case: Cops
In another case, a man who left his heavily damaged car was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst arrested people on charges of domestic battery, retail theft and leaving the scene of a crash. Here is information from the police reports:
Domestic battery
- Mayra F. Carreon, 45, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 11 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of East St. Charles Road on charges of domestic battery that causes bodily harm and domestic battery by making physical contact. Police said Carreon was intoxicated and that she struck another person. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

- Anthony Amerio, 44, of Plainfield, was cited about 11 p.m. Tuesday on charges of leaving the scene of a property damage accident, improper lane usage and no registration displayed. Officers responded to a single-vehicle crash involving a Mercedes-Benz at Lake and Walnut. They found the car was heavily damaged. Amerio ran away, but officers found him at his house, police said. He was released on bond.
Retail theft
- Saba Giunashvili, 31, and Imeda Usanetashvili, 42, both of Brooklyn, New York, were cited July 13 on charges of retail theft. Police said the men stole cologne and cosmetics a day earlier at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83. They were released on bond.
