ELMHURST, IL – A mobile food vendor who was selling at Wilder Park last week was told he was not allowed to sell there, police said.

An officer told the vendor he could be issued a trespassing citation if he did not comply, police said. The incident occurred about 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

In an interview, Jim Rogers, executive director of the Elmhurst Park District, said mobile food vendors have permits to sell on city streets, but that does not extend to the district's parks.
