Former D-205 Leader May Stay As Consultant
The school board is considering an agreement with the ex-interim superintendent.

ELMHURST, IL — The Elmhurst School District 205 board plans to vote Tuesday on a transition and consulting services agreement with Linda Yonke, whose last day as interim superintendent was June 30.
The agreement is listed as an item on the board's meeting agenda. But no other details were included, such as how much Yonke will be paid.
Yonke was a member of the recruitment firm that the board hired last winter after then-Superintendent Dave Moyer announced he would leave the district June 30 for a superintendent's job near Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

With opposition in the community building against Moyer, he resigned three months early in late March. Yonke was appointed interim superintendent.
Keisha Campbell, an Elmhurst resident and a former school administrator in Chicago, became superintendent July 1.

Here are some other issues on Tuesday's agenda:
- Approval of executive director of technology: The agenda does not give the name of the person who is under consideration. The position recently became vacant with the exit of Robert "RJ" Bialk, who resigned after a year. He replaced Dave Smith.
- Action on settlement agreement and general release: The agenda does not give details. Patch has filed a public records request for the document.
- Administrative benefits: The agenda does not give details.
- Closed session minutes: The board is set to vote on a proposal to keep all its closed meeting minutes from July 2020 to December 2020 secret, except the minutes from July 8, 2020. Patch has filed a public records request for the July 8 minutes.
