Head Cheerleading Coach Named at York High School
Bowman has more than 10 years of coaching experience, including four years with York.

ELMHURST, IL — York has named Emily Bowman as the new head cheerleading coach. The school said Bowman is a York alumna and former varsity captain. She has more than 10 years of coaching experience, including four years with York.
The school said Bowman was on the coaching staff during integral seasons for the York program, including the first IHSA State appearance in York history, as well as the program's most successful competitive season to date: placing fourth at the IHSA State Finals in the Coed Division.
Tryouts for the fall season will be held on May 30 and May 31 from 4:30-8:30 in York's Black Box Theatre. Tryouts are open to all 9-12 grade students for the 2018-2019 school year.
