During the 2017-2018 IC Catholic Prep (ICCP) academic year, five seniors participated in the Senior Option Program through a partnership with Elmhurst College. Dylan Packer, Victor Cadaoas, Mark Zhao, Ella Wan and Hannah Li took courses such as Calculus II, Calculus III, Discrete Math, Statistics, Intro to Philosophy, and Analysis for Business and Social Science.

In 1995, a program was created between ICCP and Elmhurst College that was originally designed to enable exceptional ICCP students to take advanced courses in the areas of mathematics, science and foreign language at the neighboring college. This Senior Option Program allows students to apply for the opportunity to take these advanced course offerings after they have successfully completed the ICCP offered AP courses and have fulfilled their graduation requirements. Once approved, the ICCP student has a unique and valuable opportunity to take a college course, earn college credits, and since the tuition is waived under the program —they are essentially earning college credits for no additional cost.

Since its inception, the Senior Option Program has benefitted many talented ICCP students. In recent years, several seniors have even started their college careers with as many as 27-30 credit hours due to AP credits and courses taken at Elmhurst College.
