Illinois State Senator Chris Nybo Visits with the 3rd Grade Class at Visitation

Elmhurst, IL— On Friday, October 13th, Visitation 3rd graders were lucky enough to have another wonderful guest speaker to go along with their Social Studies unit on Government. Illinois State Senator Chris Nybo, whose nephews, Dillon and Luke Noble attend Visitation, was gracious enough to find some time and talk with Vis students on the structure of the US Government and what his role is as a State Senator. Students were able to ask questions and they even role played how a bill gets passed within the state. Senator Nybo brought activity books for the students as well. This experience was so meaningful to the students and really helped them to better understand their unit of study. Thank you Senator Nybo for coming and visiting with the 3rd graders at Visitation.
