The Knights Travel Basketball Program is pleased to announce tryouts on September 10th & call backs September 17th for the upcoming 2016/2017 basketball season. The Knights Program is committed to providing a positive competitive basketball experience for boys and girls from 3rd grade through 8th grade with a focus on effort, teamwork and skills development. Former players from the Knights Program can now be seen playing for local high schools including York, Fenwick and Immaculate Conception Catholic Prep.

The commitment to skills development has been enhanced for the upcoming year with a new strategic partnership between Knights Travel Basketball www.knightsbball.com and Breakaway Basketball www.breakawaybasketball.com . The development of core basketball skills serves as the foundation for success and Greg Ktistou, founder of Breakaway Basketball, will be personally leading the program wide skills training sessions each week during the season. Knights Travel Basketball and Breakaway Basketball are excited about this partnership and looking forward to the upcoming season.

· Knights Basketball is an all-volunteer organization, open to all girls and boys in 3rd – 8th grades.

· Knights Basketball is a competitive “travel” program, and players are selected based upon current ability to be successful at the travel level.

· Roster sizes are generally 10-16 players, with game day rosters typically limited to 8-10 players.

· Teams play up to 30-45 games, depending upon age level.

· The season runs from mid-October thru early March.

· Teams practice twice each week, on weekday evenings, Mondays thru Fridays.

· All home games and practices are held at our home court at the Oak Brook Family Recreation Center.

· Player fees range between $650-$700 plus uniform/practice jersey/bag.
