Late Penalties In Elmhurst D-205 Bus Pact: Memo
The changes were made at the request of school board members.
ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst School District 205 was able to include penalties in its contract with its bus provider, a top official says.
In a memo, Superintendent Keisha Campbell said the proposed agreement consists of penalties for late morning dropoffs and late afternoon arrivals, failure to operate routes and nonfunctional camera systems.
At its meeting Tuesday, the board is set to vote on the contract with First Student for next school year. The penalties were at the request of school board members.

The memo did not say what the penalties were; the contract was not included in the meeting agenda.
The agreement includes a 12 percent increase from this year. That hike amounts to nearly $450,000, for a total of about $4 million.
