ELMHURST, IL – Townhomes are proposed for the 200 block of North Addison Avenue in Elmhurst, continuing the trend of more multifamily housing on the street.

The four townhomes would be at 256 and 260 N. Addison, across the street from the Elmhurst 255 apartment complex, which was built seven years ago.

The new three-story townhomes would be in the place of two houses that were demolished in recent times. They were built in 1891 and 1911. The developer bought both houses for about $300,000 in November 2020, according to real estate records.

A multifamily development just north of the proposed townhomes has links to Bronge Rize, according to DuPage County tax records. That development also replaced older houses.
