New Towing Firm On Elmhurst Police Rotation
An Elmhurst company is off the list because it no longer offers 24-hour service, the city said.
ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst has a new towing company in its rotation.
The police call towing companies to remove cars in situations such as crashes, DUIs, and other felonies and misdemeanors.
Downers Grove-based O'Hare Towing and Addison-based West & Sons Towing have long been on the rotation. The third, Elmhurst-based Jim's Towing, is no longer on the list because it ended its around-the-clock service, according to the city.

The police recently put out a request for proposals for towing services. O'Hare and West & Sons were again selected for the rotation. The newest company on the list is Hillside-based Powers Towing.
"They've been vetted. They agreed to fair pricing to be an authorized towing service for the Elmhurst Police Department," Police Chief Michael McLean told a City Council committee this week.
