Man Scammed Elmhurst Restaurants Out Of Customers' Credit Cards: Police (patch.com) — Elmhurst police say a man ran a lunchtime credit card scam at several downtown restaurants before being arrested after a brief chase. The suspect faces burglary and theft-related charges, and officers are urging local businesses to stay alert for credit card and quick-change currency schemes targeting customers' payments.
   

2. Elmhurst Park District May Be Taken To Court For Blocking Bandshell Petition (patch.com) — Elmhurst residents may see the long-debated bandshell issue head to court after the Park District rejected a citizen petition for an advisory referendum on its location. Petition organizers argue state law allows such questions and hope the Park Board reverses course at Monday's meeting, while the city's Plan Commission is also set to review the proposal at City Hall.

Sexual battery reported on Illinois Prairie Path in Elmhurst (dailyherald.com) — Elmhurst police are investigating a reported sexual battery on the Illinois Prairie Path between York Street and the Pioneer Park area, involving a man on an electric scooter. Officers captured the suspect on nearby public safety video and are asking anyone with information or home security footage from Thursday night to contact 911 immediately.
