Police Track Down Elmhurst Resident

ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst police tried to find a local man last week after being asked to conduct a well-being check, according to a police report.

On Friday, officers tried to make contact with the man at his apartment, but the apartment was unlocked and appeared to have not been cleaned for some time, the report said. At first, officers were unable to find the man, but discovered his car parked at the apartment complex.

An officer contacted the man relatives, who said they hadn't seen the man in a decade.

On Saturday, police determined the man was a resident at a nursing home.
