Protest At Elmhurst Business Draws Police
In another case, a Villa Park man scared customers at an Elmhurst store, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving a protest, disorderly conduct, damage, a disturbance, an order of protection, a library theft and a missing man. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Protest
- Officers responded to a demonstration about 9:30 a.m. Monday at CTL Global, 1000 N. County Line Road. The demonstration dispersed peacefully, and everyone left the property.

- A 41-year-old Villa Park man was arrested about 11 a.m. Wednesday at Petco, 199 S. Route 83, on a charge of disorderly conduct. Police said the man aggressively approached a customer. Customers reported being scared as the man threw and broke things outside. He was released.
Obstructing police
- A 27-year-old Northlake man was arrested about 4 a.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of North Hillside Avenue on charges of obstructing a police officer, driving with a suspended license, reckless driving and driving an uninsured car. He was the subject of a police news release. He was released.
Damage

- Someone broke a rear passenger window of a Ford StarCraft minibus between Friday and Monday at the Ray Graham Association, 420 W. Madison St. Nothing was stolen from the van.
Lodge disturbance
- A person was given a no-trespass notice after causing a disturbance about 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Elks Lodge, 711 W. St. Charles Road.
Order of protection
- About 11 a.m. Wednesday, an officer met with a resident in the 100 block of East North Avenue who obtained an emergency order of protection against a man. The man was served with the order and left the house without any problems.
Library theft
- Surveillance footage showed a youth stealing a hand-held walkie-talkie about 2 p.m. Sunday from the second-floor information desk at Elmhurst Public Library, 125 S. Prospect Ave. The youth then placed it into his pocket. The library did not want to sign a complaint, but asked the police to issue a no-trespass notice to the youth if he is found. An investigation is pending.
Missing
- About 11 p.m. Wednesday, a woman reported her husband was missing from Park Place of Elmhurst retirement community, 1050 S. Euclid Ave. She was concerned because he suffers from dementia. Upon investigation, it was found her husband was safe on a planned golf trip in New Jersey.
