Ribbon Cutting for New FIeld Elementary School
– Wednesday, August 16, 2023 –

Elmhurst, IL – A ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly built Field Elementary School will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 4:15 p.m.

This new and improved school replaces the 91-year-old building. Some of the features of the new Field Elementary School include twenty-four dedicated classrooms, several flexible spaces used for collaboration and small groups and secured main entrances and outdoor instruction areas. The gymnasium is also designed to also serve as a tornado shelter.

The site has also been reconfigured to allow for a more efficient student drop-off and pick-up process, while still allowing for ample play and recreation space for students.

Join representatives from the Board of Education, Administration, and Staff as they officially welcome students and families back for the 2023-2024 school year tomorrow, Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 4:15 p.m. at Field Elementary located at 295 North Emory Avenue in Elmhurst.

While the new school will not be open for public tours at the ribbon cutting, the District has scheduled a community open house for Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 10 a.m. to noon.
