Running Car Stolen In Elmhurst: Cops

The victim left the car unattended at a local business, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – A car that was left unattended and running was stolen Wednesday night in Elmhurst, police said.

The theft occurred shortly before 7 p.m. in the back of the Shell gas station at 218 E. Butterfield Road, police said. Upon returning, the victim found the car gone, police said.

Last month, police reported that an unoccupied car went missing at the UPS Store, 205 E. Butterfield Road, within a block of the gas station. The car was unlocked and running.
