ELMHURST, IL – The Elmhurst City Council was informed Monday about the bigger road and bridge projects over the next few years.

The largest next year is the replacement of the Park Avenue bridge deck over Robert Palmer Drive downtown. That is expected to cost $930,000.

"We need to do this to maintain the infrastructure underneath because, as you can imagine, the more time you wait when repairs are necessary, the more expensive it gets to repair in the future," City Manager Jim Grabowski told the council.
