ELMHURST, IL - The York Album Project has released its third original collection of student musicians' work, Music As One. An album release party set for May 6 at Schubas in Chicago. Music as One features 22 different artists or groups from York High School and represents songs written and recorded during the 2016-17 school year.

The album project is led by York music teacher, Chris Gemkow, with support from York music teacher Mike Pavlik and audio engineer Tim Flynn, of Audio Wall Studio in Lombard.

The school said this is a highly creative and unusual project for high school musicians to tackle, especially three years running. According to the district, the York Project continues to highlight the incredible musical talent that exists at York Community High School - both among the students and their teachers.
