Two Elmhurst Students Awarded College-Sponsored National Merit Scholarships
Two Elmhurst students have been awarded college-sponsored National Merit Scholarships.
ELMHURST, IL — Two Elmhurst students have been awarded college-sponsored National Merit Scholarships. The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced 900 additional winners of scholarships. These Merit Scholar designees join over 3,200 other college-sponsored award recipients who were announced in June, according to a release.
The two Elmhurst students awarded college-sponsored scholarships are:
- Amy Choi, York Community High School. Probable career field: Bioengineering. Choi was awarded the National Merit University of Minnesota Scholarship.
- Noah Neidigh, York Community High School. Probable career field: Biomedical Engineering. Neidigh was awarded the National Merit Purdue University Scholarship.
Officials of each sponsor college selected their scholarship winners from among the finalists in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program who plan to attend their institution, according to a release. These awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship.
