Visitation School Welcomes New Assistant Principal Katie McVey
Visitation Catholic School is pleased to announce the addition of a new administrator to its staff, Katie McVey, Assistant Principal.

Elmhurst, IL – September 6, 2017 – Visitation Catholic School is pleased to announce the addition of a new administrator to its staff, Katie McVey, Assistant Principal, who will focus on marketing and publicizing the school through local and social media as well as assisting the principal with day to day operations of the school.
Katie has taught for 12 years at Visitation in several grade levels and also is an alumna of the school, bringing a lifelong love and passion for Visitation to this new position. She has a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and is looking forward to applying her day to day knowledge in the classroom to efforts to continue to improve the education for Visitation students.
“Young families increasingly get their information from social media and Visitation School needs to have a strong presence in these platforms to get the word out about our exceptional school,” explained Mrs. McVey. “I’m looking forward to showcasing all that Vis has to offer to our community while working together with our Principal and teachers to continue to improve the educational experience at Vis!”.

McVey is also a York alumna and the daughter of longtime Elmhurst residents Bob ad Patty Burnette who are still active in the Elmhurst and Visitation community. She has a daughter Amelia, 2, and has aspirations of pursuing a doctorate in the future.
