Wallet Confrontation At Elmhurst Restaurant: Police
In another case, a woman's purse was stolen from her cart at a grocery store, authorities said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police have handed cases involving theft, a chronic nuisance, trespassing, a domestic disturbance and an unwanted person. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Theft
- A man told police that another man stole his wallet when he placed it on a table shortly before noon Tuesday at Chipotle Mexican Grill, 353 S. Route 83. After being confronted, the suspect returned the wallet. The suspect then left and was not found. An investigation is pending. The suspect was described as white and wearing a green and black hooded jacket, a gray skull cap, blue jeans and light brown boots.
- A customer at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83, told police that a woman stole her purse from her shopping cart. An investigation is pending. The suspect was described as black and wearing a white headband, a black face mask, a purple letterman jacket, purple pants and black sneakers.
- A man met another man to trade his Xbox Series X for a Sony PlayStation 5 about 12:30 p.m. Saturday at CVS Pharmacy, 110 W. North Ave. When the victim tried to use the PlayStation, Sony notified him the system was reported stolen. An investigation is pending. The suspect was described as Hispanic, about 40 years old, having a short haircut with a scar on his forehead and having a medium build.

- A resident in the 700 block of South Saylor Avenue was issued a chronic nuisance warning Monday. He has been the subject of repeated loud music complaints.
Trespassing
- A resident in the 300 block of North Kenilworth Avenue told police that his ex-wife entered his house without permission about 4:30 p.m. Sunday. His ex-wife was served with a no-trespass notice.
- Staff at Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road, told police that a suspect tried to remove a patient about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. The suspect was served with a no-trespass notice.
Domestic disturbance

- Officers responded to a domestic disturbance about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of North Ridgeland. A woman said a suspect pushed and choked her. Officers could find no signs of physical injury. Because of conflicting statements, no arrests were made.
Unwanted person
- An unwanted person was at Elmhurst Dental, 333 W. First St., about 1 p.m. Wednesday. The person was issued a no-trespass notice.
Ammunition turned in
- A resident in the 800 block of South Hillside Avenue turned in unused ammunition at the police station Wednesday. The ammunition was entered into evidence for destruction.
DUI
- A 30-year-old Addison woman was arrested about 8 p.m. Monday at St. Charles Road and Lawndale on charges of DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. She was released.
- A 49-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 2 a.m. Tuesday at Route 83 and St. Charles Road on charges of DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving with a suspended license and improper lane usage. He was released.
Identity theft
- A resident in the 700 block of South Prospect Avenue told police that someone used her personal information last week to rent apartments in Texas and Minnesota.
