ELMHURST, IL — The York Album Project, which is a group of musicians from York High School, will have an album release party on May 5. The district said the project takes place every year, and musicians write, record and release an album of all original material. This year's album, 'IV,' is the fourth album release by the project since 2015.

The album release party will be held at Schuba's Tavern in Chicago on May 5 at 12 p.m.

The district said the album project is coordinated by York Music Teacher Chris Gemkow, with support of York music teachers Bill Riddle and Mike Pavlik, along with audio engineer Tim Flynn, of AudioWall Studio in Lombard.
