York Holds Spring Signing Day For Student Athletes

This school year, 22 York Community High School student athletes signed letters of commitment to play intercollegiate sports.

ELMHURST, IL — This school year, 22 York Community High School student athletes signed letters of commitment to play intercollegiate sports, including 16 students who signed on April 11. The school said of the 22 athletes, full-ride scholarships were extended to five seniors including:

  • Charlie Kern, cross country/track, University of Missouri
  • Maddie Levins, soccer, Lewis University
  • Kyra Kroll, softball, Western Illinois (signed in November)
  • Caylin Rufus, basketball, Upper Iowa University (signed in November)
  • Isabel Torres, lacrosse, New Hampshire University (signed in November)

The 16 athletes that signed in April are:

  • Madison Collins, softball, Carleton College
  • Andrew Deardurff, baseball, University of WI-Oshkosh
  • Mathew Keovan, track and field, Augustana College
  • Charlie Kern, track and field, University of Missouri
  • Maddie Levins, soccer, Lewis University
  • Marissa Logan, swim/water polo, Monmouth College
  • Angelo Martucci, basketball, Cornell, Iowa
  • Andrea Meagher, softball, Marian College
  • Kerry O'Malley, lacrosse, University of Chicago
  • Mark Morgan, track, Loras College
  • Jonathan Nikoleit, tennis, Carthage College
  • Kelvin Stevens, gymnastics, University of Illinois-Chicago
  • Tim Stevenson, track and field, Illinois State University
  • Mia Tran, softball, Elmhurst College
  • Scott Tucker, baseball, Heartland Community College
  • Ryan Waltz, lacrosse, Elmhurst College
