York Names New Head Football Coach
The York Athletic Department has named Michael Fitzgerald as the new head football coach at York High School.
ELMHURST, IL — The York Athletic Department has named Michael Fitzgerald as the new head football coach at York High School. The district said Fitzgerald is currently a teacher and football assistant at Naperville North High School. He will teach and coach at York for the 2018-2019 school year.
According to the district, Fitzgerald brings a vast amount of coaching experience. While coaching at Marist, St. Francis (Wheaton), and Naperville North his offenses have averaged over 30 points a game. Fitzgerald has also developed All-Area QBs at every school he has coached.
"Michael brings a quality amount of coaching experiences to the table! We are very excited to have him on our teaching and coaching staff at York!" Rob Wagner, York Assistant Principal for Athletics, said in a release.
