York Varsity Boys' Tennis Wins Second Place at Hersey Invite

Below are the results from this Saturday’s Hersey Invite. York won the first two rounds against Prospect and Fremd by a score of 5-2 in both rounds. York then lost in the finals by a score of 4-3 to Hersey High School. York finished second place out of eight teams in the Hersey Invite.

Senior Brendan Peterson (#1 Singles / Picture Attached) went 3-0 on the day and won his 100th career varsity match against Prospect High School in the first match of the day. He went on to win his next 2 matches as well, putting him at 102 wins total over his career. He is playing at an extremely high level right now and remains committed to improving on a daily basis.

Seniors Jake Shostak/Spencer Kost (#1 Doubles) also went 3-0 on the day on Saturday. As did Senior Alex Riddle (#2 Singles).
