$150K Reward Now Offered For Information On Rogers Park Shooter
The amount of money being offered is a city record, Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson said.
CHICAGO — The reward for information that leads to an arrest in the killings of two victims in Rogers Park has increased to $150,000, Chicago Police Superindendent Eddie Johnson announced Thursday. The reward is the highest amount ever offered in the city, Johnson said.
"Someone knows who did this," Johnson said. "We will find that person that committed these actions in our community."
More than 430 independent leads on the suspect have been reported, but no arrests have been made, police said. Dozens of detectives are investigating the shootings.

Douglass Watts, 73, was walking his dogs in the 1400 block of West Sherwin on Sept. 30, when he was shot in the head just after 10 a.m., police said.
Eliyahu Moscowitz, 24, was shot in the head in the 1100 block of West Lunt Avenue south of Loyola Park around 10:20 p.m. the next day, police said.

In an Oct. 2 press conference, Johnson said the same gun was used to kill both victims. Police also released surveillance videos that show the suspect dressed in all black with his face covered. Police said the suspect has a unique walk — he takes steps with his feet pointed out.
No motive has been identified in the killings.
The shootings have left many residents shaken and terrified to leave their homes.
