30th Annual Pumpkin Patch to Support ESCCA

With the weather Gods shining down upon us, the crowds of smiling faces came to Independence park last Saturday, October 9th, to purchase their pumpkins. There was coffee, cider, donuts and cookies enjoyed by all. Many kids enjoyed the craft table with its coloring books, stickers, crayons and markers. ESCCA would like to extend its heartfelt thank you to all the extremely generous patrons this year. Whether it be due to Covid or just being outside in the park on a glorious day, we are so thankful to you and your generosity this year!

For those who don't know about ESCCA, it has been around since the Great Depression and provides needy District 65 K-8 children with complete wardrobes, including coats, jeans, shoes, boots and underwear. Approximately 600 children are clothed every year.

This fantastic event started 30 years ago by Coldwell Banker Realty, which has generously donated the pumpkins throughout the years. 100% of the pumpkin sales go directly to the purchase of clothing for the students. ESCCA is an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff. Donations of any type, clothing or monetary are always welcome and appreciated.
