Mather LifeWays Achieves LEED Gold, Industry Accolades

Mather LifeWays announces The Mather, a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), has been awarded a LEED Gold rating by the U.S. Green Building Council for its second phase of construction. The Mather is the only CCRC in the nation to have achieved this designation, and the certification rounds out a year of accolades for the industry-leading organization.

Earlier in November, Mather LifeWays was honored, for the third consecutive year, with a Top Workplace Award as one of the Chicago Tribune’s Top 100 Places to Work in the Chicago area. Other recent awards the not-for-profit organization has won include:

  • Pathways to Greatness Award from Leading Age and Clifton Larson Allen, LLP which recognizes high-quality aging-service organizations.
  • McKnight’s Long-Term Care News Excellence in Technology Award, which distinguishes organizations for their innovative use of technology to improve older adult living services.
  • Top Finalist for the 2012 Illinois Healthiest Employee Award, which honors the state’s most outstanding health and wellness programs, presented by Humana Vitality.
