Armed Robbery Reported; Man Steals From 89-Year-Old Aunt: Blotter

EVANSTON, IL — The following information comes from the Evanston Police Department and court records as a record of those arrested by police. Readers are reminded that an arrest is not an indication of guilt and criminal charges, which represent merely accusations by the state, are often dropped or reduced. INCIDENTS
RETAIL THEFT
Someone stole clothes and furs from a retail establishment in the 2400 block of Main Street around 12:15 p.m. on June 12.

CAR BURGLARY
Someone stole a purse, a wallet, a bag and their contents from a Cadillac left unlocked parked on the road in the 1900 block of Howard Street sometime between 6 p.m. on June 11 and 7 a.m. on June 12.
RETAIL THEFT
Someone stole unspecified items from a pharmacy in the 3300 block of Central Street between 3:09 and 3:40 p.m. on June 12.

SLASHED TIRES
Someone cut up three tires on a Ford parked on the street in the 1000 block of Dodge Avenue between 11 p.m. on June 13 and 6:30 a.m. on June 14.
THEFT
Sunglasses were stolen from an apartment in the 1700 block of Monroe Street between 10 p.m. on June 15 and 7 a.m. on June 16.
THEFT
Someone stole parts from a Honda between 7 p.m. on June 14 and 10:16 a.m on June 15 while it was parked near the intersection of Hartrey Avenue and Cleveland Street.
THEFT
Someone stole parts from a Nissan around 12:30 p.m. on June 15 while it was parked in the 1400 block of Grey Avenue.
CAR BURGLARY
Someone stole documents, jewelry, an umbella, a folding chair and bedding from a Volkswagen left unlocked in the 1600 block of Lake Street sometime between 10:30 p.m. on June 16 and 10 a.m. on June 17.
THEFT
Someone stole a purse, a wallet and a back with contents, including keys, from an apartment in the 2300 block of Noyes Court sometime between noon and 9:11 p.m. on June 15.
CAR BURGLARY
Someone stole a laptop computer and hardware from a Chevy left unlocked while parked in the 1600 block of Church Street between 7 p.m. on June 15 and 10:30 a.m. on June 16.
CAR BURGLARY
Someone smashed the window of a Buick parked in the 1800 block of Hartrey Avenue and stole a purse, a wallet and the contents of a bag sometime around 9:50 p.m. on June 17.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Someone smashed a window of an Acura parked in the 1900 block of Hartrey Avenue shortly before 9:15 p.m. on June 17.
ARMED ROBBERY
Around 11:10 p.m. on June 18, someone brandished a gun and stole cash from a person in the 2100 block of Darrow Avenue.
ROBBERY
Someone stole a beret slapped another person on a bus around 12:48 p.m. on June 19 in the 500 block of Church Street.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY
Someone broke the front window of a convenience store in the 1600 block of Emerson Street around 2:52 a.m. on June 20 and stole cigars and cigarettes
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Jerome W. Bynum, 19, of the 1400 block of East 72nd Street in Chicago, was arrested at 9:26 a.m. on June 12 in the 1300 block of Sherman Avenue and charged with trespassing.
Christian Espino, 22, of the 7400 block of North Damen Avenue in Chicago, was arrested at 7:36 p.m. on June 12 in the 7500 block of Ridge and charged with obstructing.
Eric S. Boose, 48, of the 1900 block of East 71st Place in Chicago was arrested at 10:46 p.m. on June 13 in the 1900 block of Grey Avenue and charged with a violation of an active order of protection.
Tanise M. Flowers, 25, of the 200 block of Custer Avenue in Evanston was arrested at 1:15 a.m. on June 14 at her home and charged with assault.
Bernardino R. Munoz, 60, of the 1200 block of Fowler Avenue in Evanston, was arrested at 3:35 p.m. on June 13 in the 1700 block of Main Street and charged with battery.
Dontrell J. Howard, 38, of the 4300 block of South Ellis Avenue in Chicago, was arrested at 10:47 p.m. on June 17 in the 900 block of Chicago Avenue and charged with theft.
Daniel Jara, 30, of the 500 block of Deere Park Circle in Bartlett, was arrested at 7:08 a.m. on June 16 near the intersection of Sheridan Road and Northwestern Place and charged with driving under the influence.
Layton J. Jones, 25, of the 2400 block of Church Street in Evanston, was arrested at 10:02 p.m. on June 14 in the 2400 block of Dempster Street and charged with domestic battery.
Andrew Prigorskiy, 31, of the 1500 block of West Fargo Avenue in Chicago, was arrested at 10:15 p.m. on June 14 in the 300 block of Ridge Avenue and charged with criminal damage to property.
Dean E. Thompson, 42, of the 1800 block of Madison Street in Evanston was arrested at his home at 10:41 a.m. on June 13 and charged with domestic battery.
Laura C. Aiello, 34, of the 400 block of Green Bay Road in Glencoe, was arrested at 1:14 a.m. in the 600 block of Madison Street and charged with driving under the influence.
Johnny L. Milsap, 42, of the 7000 block of West Beckett Avenue in Milwaukee, was arrested at 10:41 a.m. on June 18 in the 1400 block of Elmwood Avenue and charged with financial exploitation of the elderly for allegedly stealing and cashing checks from his 89-year-old great-aunt.
Jackie M. Siegel, 35, of the 2900 block of West Farragut Avenue in Chiago, was arrested at 4:45 p.m on June 19 in the 2000 block of Howard Street and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
