For over a decade, the Morton Grove Farmers' Market was a popular event that brought the community together outdoors from late spring through early fall and also held indoor markets for the holidays which welcomed attendees for free. We are continuing that tradition with our twice yearly "Market Faire" this Fall on October 24 presented by the Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce - <a href="https://mgcci.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">https://mgcci.org/</a> - with the support of the Morton Grove Park District.
Rich Block, President of the Morton Grove Chamber was also managed the Farmers' Market who wanted to bring back an indoor event for the holidays for the residents of the village and surrounding communities to enjoy. The spirit of those markets continues as a place where people come together to meet, eat and enjoy entertainment while shopping for items from local artisans and crafters, visit with service providers and get information from the village and local organizations. 
 The first event was titled as a "holiday faire" attracting shoppers interested in seeing vendors who provided all that was needed for the holidays (gifts, catering, music, photographers, decorations, party rentals and more). That concept transitioned to an artisan crafts fair as others wanted to share their goods and services who offered gourmet foods, home repair services and more from home based businesses. We quickly outgrew our original locations and found a new home at the Morton Grove Park District's Prairie View Community Center on their first floor main gym that now allows us to have expanded the amount of vendor tables with easier access.&nbsp;
The Chamber's goal is to grow these Market Faires (this fall on October 24th from 9 am to 2 pm. Next Spring Market Faire will be May 8 close to Mother's Day in 2027. We are growing into a twice yearly, popular event for all to find interesting items, services and information while meeting their neighbors. We hope you will join us and share the event with your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and anyone interested. Please help us spread the word so we can more people to attend the market. What happens when a family decides to hold a séance for Jerry Garcia on the anniversary of his death? Waiting for Jerry Garcia — a new play by Dan Zellner, directed by Steven Yandell — is about to find out.
Three family members, played by Becca Blatt, Drew Mierzejewski and Tyler Skaafgard, gather around a séance table, each carrying their own hopes, regrets, and unfinished business. What follows is funny, tender, and surprisingly moving — a comedy about life choices, failed dreams, and what it means to love someone you never knew.
The evening doesn't stop there. A live acoustic Grateful Dead jam session and community sing-along follows the performance, led by musician Jim Cullom and featuring The Uke Jammers with Mitch Thomas. Bring your acoustic instrument. Bring your voice. Just show up.

Meet up at Fountain Square (the plaza north of Davis Street) to pick up your official Trick-or-Treat Stroll map, take some photos in front of our Fall-themed backdrop, and get started on your stroll.
