DUI Crackdown in Evanston Begins on St. Patrick's Day
Evanston police will work overtime to find drunk drivers throughout the weekend.

EVANSTON, IL - Evanston police will be working overtime beginning on St. Patrick's Day and through the weekend to crackdown on drunk drivers and unbuckled motorists.
“We are reminding everyone this St. Patrick's Day to drive sober and buckle up," said Evanston Police Department Traffic Bureau Sergeant Tracy Williams. “If you plan on drinking alcohol, designate a sober driver before the party begins. Be responsible or risk a DUI.”
“Too often, St. Patrick’s Day can be a deadly and dangerous time on our roadways because of drunk driving,” Williams added. “That is why starting Thursday and through the weekend, we will be working overtime to catch and arrest anyone who is driving drunk.”
