Evanston Cops Recover 2 Loaded Handguns
Separate incidents last week ended with the recovery of a weapon.
EVANSTON, IL - Police in Evanston made a pair of arrests last week in which handguns were located on the suspects.
Ryan Errol Peart, 21, of the 1300 block of Dewey Ave. was charged with several crimes including unlawful use of a weapon by felon after police stopped a vehicle he was driving at 10:39 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11 in the 800 block of Ridge Ave.
A police report stated Peart appeared nervous and noticed the odor of burnt cannabis. Peart informed the detective that he had a loaded Smith and Wesson .357 revolver in his pocket, which the officer recovered according to the report.

Two days later, police arrested Tremell Richardson, 30, of Chicago in the 2100 block of W. Howard St. at 12:07 a.m.
Officers in the area said they heard several gun shots being fired from the 7600 block of Ridge Blvd. in Chicago, and as they began to investigate they saw a speeding vehicle headed toward Howard St. Richardson was seen throwing “a dark object” from the vehicle which was later found to be a loaded Kel-Tec 9mm handgun.

Richardson was charged with two counts of unlawful use of a weapon by felon.
