Evanston Murder Suspect Nabbed After Throwing Puppy at Military Cop at Fort Hood

Ronald Kyle III was connected to the January murder of Benjamin Mandujano-Bradford after confrontation at military base.

EVANSTON, IL - A man wanted in connection with a January murder in Evanston was captured earlier this month at the Fort Hood military post in Texas.

Ronald Kyle III was taken into custody in Kileen, Tex. on Nov. 3 when he was stopped by military police attempting to enter Fort Hood with more than 300 grams of cannabis and four firearms. He is accused of murdering Benjamin Mandujano-Bradford on Jan. 19, 2016 in the 1300 block of Darrow Avenue.

Kyle attempted to escape capture by the United States Marshals Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force by throwing a puppy in the face of the military police officer and flee on foot, but was subsequently apprehended police said.

Authorities discovered Kyle had an active arrest warrant from Evanston for first degree murder while he was in custody following the confrontation at Fort Hood.
