Garage Theft Suspect Identified in Evanston
Jonathan Hamilton Jr. is charged with the alleged burglary in Wilmette. He was caught using victim's credit card at Dunkin' Donuts.

A man accused of breaking in to a garage in Wilmette was caught while allegedly using the victim’s credit card at a Dunkin’ Donuts in Evanston.
According to a Wilmette police report, Jonathan Hamilton Jr., 20, Chicago burglarized a detached garage in the 1500 block of Walnut Ave. overnight between Monday and Tuesday and stole several items including red gloves, a swiss army knife and a Discover credit card.
The credit card was then used at a Dunkin’ Donuts in evanston, which provided police with surveillance footage that showed an African-American man wearing bright red gloves making the purchase.

Hamilton was identified by an Evanston police officer and turned over to Wilmette detectives. He is now charged with burglary and unlawful use of a credit card.
