EVANSTON, IL — Police asked the public for help identifying an arsonist who was captured on video setting fire to a pair of cars last week.

Police and fire crews were dispatched to a call of a car fire in an alley off the 2300 block of Sherman Avenue around 8:15 p.m. on April 19.

Firefighters extinguished two cars with their hoods on fire, a Nissan and a Toyota, without any injuries, police said. A nearby Honda appeared to have been damaged by the heat.
