Latest Rogers Park Shooting Not Related To Murders: Police
A man was shot Friday morning after an argument with a person he knew, police said.

CHICAGO — A 36-year-old man was shot Friday morning in the city's Rogers Park neighborhood, police said. The shooting was not connected with the two murders that occurred in the neighborhood on Sunday and Monday, the Chicago Police Department said.
The victim was shot in the back after he got into an argument with a man he knew, police said. The shot was fired around 7:45 a.m. in the 7600 block of North Greenview Avenue, according to police.
The suspect drove off in a tan-colored vehicle, authorities said.

The victim was taken to Presence St. Francis Hospital, where his condition stabilized.
Police said the shooting was gang related. No one was in custody.

Area North detectives are investigating.
Many Rogers Park residents are terrified to leave their homes after two men were shot in the head just blocks from each other at random within a span of 36 hours.
Although the latest shooting wasn't connected with the murders, the CPD flooded the area with officers as a precautionary measure.
