Lincolnwood Man Killed While Crossing Street in Evanston
The 52-year-old was struck by a car on Dodge Avenue on Saturday.
A 52-year-old Lincolnwood man died Saturday after being struck by a car in the 800 block of Dodge Avenue in Evanston shortly before 10:30 a.m.
Police identified the deceased Saturday night as Mirecea M. Bempea.
Bempea was headed eastbound across the street when hit by a northbound vehicle driven by a 49-year-old Evanston woman, according to Evanston Now.

The man was pronounced dead shortly after at St. Francis Hospital.
Dodge was reopened to traffic about 2:30 p.m.
