Multi-Day Fire Department Drill Will Take Over Evanston Park
The large-scale drill will involve several emergency vehicles and neighboring agencies at Centennial Park

EVANSTON, IL — Evanston Fire Department personnel will conduct a multi-patient Management Drill starting Tuesday and lasting through Thursday at Centennial Park, officials announced on Monday.
The drill will involve multiple types of fire and EMS apparatus, so Evanston residents and park visitors can expect an increased presence of emergency vehicles and personnel in the area. The drill will begin at 8 a.m. each day, pause for a one-and-a-half-hour lunch break, and then resume at 1 p.m.
“These types of drills are vital to ensure our personnel and partnering agencies are well-prepared for any large-scale emergency involving multiple patients,” said Field Chief Megan Kamarchevakul. “It allows us to coordinate, communicate, and execute our response in a controlled and realistic environment.”
