Northwestern Among Forbes Magazine's Top 25 Colleges
The Evanston school had all other Midwest universities beat...except for one.

Northwestern University is among the top 25 colleges in the United States, according to Forbes Magazine’s annual rankings released Thursday.
The Evanston university came in at No. 16 on the list, first in the Big Ten Conference and second in the Midwest (Notre Dame was 13). The University of Chicago was No. 20.
Forbes based the rankings on calculated data. For Northwestern, that meant a student-to-faculty ratio of 7-to-1, an annual cost of $65,519, student population of 21,592 and composite ACT (31-24) and SAT (1390-1550) scores. The study also noted that only 15 percent who apply are admitted to the university.

The Forbes article on the study noted that most of the schools that cracked the top 25 had a low student-to-faculty ratio, had a good percentage of students out in four years and offered financial aid/debt assistance.
The top three schools in the list were Ponoma College, Williams College and Stanford University.
