Photos of Noyes Street Robbery Suspects Released

Police are looking for three men who robbed one Northwestern student and attempted to rob another on a CTA Purple Line train.

EVANSTON, IL - Surveillance photographs of the three offenders involved in the overnight robbery of a Northwestern University student on Noyes Street and the attempted robbery of another student who was riding a CTA Purple Line train.

Three black men described as being 16-19 years old, 5'7" - 6'0" tall and wearing hooded sweatshirts approached a man while he was talking on his cellphone near Noyes and Sheridan Road, took his phone and wallet and ordered him to withdraw hundreds of dollars from the nearest ATM before returning the phone and wallet.

A report with similar descriptions of the offenders was made just earlier on a Purple Line train near Noyes Street. In that case, the offenders walked away empty handed.
