Student Who Brought Gun to ETHS Gets Probation

EVANSTON, IL - The Evanston Township High School student who was found with an unloaded gun in his backpack in April was sentenced to two years of probation plus community service on Monday.

Eighteen year old Martez Hill pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor and avoided an unlawful use of a weapon felony charge in court, according to an Evanston Review report.

In April, school officials found an unloaded Walther P38 semi-automatic pistol in his backpack while at school.
